The web access layer
for AI agents

Fastcrawl turns any URL into clean, LLM-ready markdown — rendered in a real browser, cached by default, REST and MCP on one key. One flat credit buys every format: scrape, crawl, extract, screenshot, even PDFs and monitors.

Features

Everything a page needs to become data — one flat credit per format.

JavaScript rendering

SPAs included. Every page renders in a real browser before it's read — no empty shells, no hydration races.

Clean markdown

Structured, de-cluttered output built for LLMs — headings, links, lists. Not screenscraping, not raw HTML.

MCP native

Twelve tools for Claude, Cursor, Codex and friends. Connect the server, no skills to install.

Monitors

Scheduled re-scrapes with change detection. Included on every plan — get pinged when the web moves.

Structured extraction

Schema-driven JSON from any page — products, listings, articles, comparisons.

Cached by default

Repeat scrapes return in milliseconds. maxAge controls freshness — from always-fresh to an hour.

How it works

Three steps. No infrastructure.

01

You send a URL

A POST to /api/v1/scrape — or a single MCP call from your agent.

02

A browser renders it

Cloudflare's edge browsers load the page, JavaScript and all.

03

You get clean markdown

Structured, LLM-ready text — cached, metered, done.

Endpoints

Twelve endpoints. One key.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

How is this faster and cheaper than Firecrawl or Jina?

Fresh scrapes average about 1.5 seconds—roughly 4× faster than Jina's published ~7.9s. Every format (scrape, crawl, map, search, extract, screenshot, pdf, parse) costs the same one flat credit, and monitors are included on every plan. Free tier gives 2,000 credits—4× Firecrawl's—and Go starts at $5, under a third of their $19 floor.

How is this different from running Playwright myself?

You'd need a server, a browser fleet, session handling, retries, anti-bot workarounds and scaling — for every page. Fastcrawl runs Cloudflare's edge browsers for you and returns only the markdown. One API call instead of an infrastructure project.

Does it work on JavaScript-heavy sites?

Yes. Every page renders in a real browser before extraction — SPAs included. If a render comes back thin, we detect it and retry through the patient path automatically, so you get the full content or a clear error — never a broken shell.

What counts as a credit?

One credit buys one unit of work, regardless of format: a scrape, a crawl page, a search, a screenshot, a PDF, or one monitor run. Extracting structured JSON, screenshots and PDFs all cost the same one credit as a plain scrape — no per-endpoint surcharges. Cached repeats return instantly at no extra cost. Your usage dashboard shows the exact breakdown.

How fresh is the data?

By default, repeat scrapes of the same URL within an hour are served from cache — milliseconds, not seconds. Set maxAge=0 to always render fresh, or anything in between.
